He is an associate professor at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University and his research interests include economic sociology, social exclusion and poverty, social inequalities, social mobility, as well as social and family policy. He is an expert at the European Social Policy Analysis Network and the European Institute for Gender Equality.
